ATIKA Studio AW19/20

ATIKA Studio is a capsule collection of limited edition pieces which are handmade in-house at ATIKA London, using only reworked vintage garments and fabrics. For this collection, Studio focused on making more pieces from scratch. I got the exciting project of styling and shooting the new collection!

I’ve always wanted to shoot in and around Roman Road. I love the buildings, the exterior/decor of newsagents and shops, and I kind of fell in love with the tiles on Ingram House, Sandall House and Wilmer House flats. With this in mind, and looking at the colour palette of the ATIKA Studio collection, I felt it all really tied together. With the pieces being reworked vintage, and having some age and history to them, I  wanted my location to reflect that. Roman Road with Its rich heritage yet vibrant and current atmosphere, coincided perfectly with the ATIKA Studio pieces. You can check out the full shoot below!

The Canvas Military Jacket was reconstructed from mid century army tent fabric. Making it both durable and water resistant.

Both the Studio Denim Zip Pullover and Cord Zip Pullover were both inspired by vintage fisherman’s pullover smocks. Both pieces were made from end of line remnant fabric that would have been thrown away.

Studio used offcuts from the fisherman’s smocks and REMIX by ATIKA pieces to create Patch Sweaters, Shirts and Tee’s. Meaning nothing was wasted along the process of creating the AW19/20 collection.
